Delaware Springs Municipal Golf Course is hidden in the small town of Burnet, just northwest of Austin. Designed by Bunker Hill, its an extremely playable course with naturally sloping fairways and greens. The large, undulating greens and the treacherous Hill Country "gunch" are two of the prominent features on the course. The greens are TifDwarf and fairways are 419 Bermuda, which make great ingredients for a quality course. In 2000, Golf Digest awarded Delaware Springs 3-1/2 stars as a top-rated public facility.
